Is Football Manager 2025 Worth the Upgrade or Same Old Stuff?

Hey folks — anyone tried Football Manager 2025 yet? I’ve been playing FM since like 2016 but skipped the last one. Yeah, I’ve put about 50 hours into it so far. Honestly, it’s a decent step up from 23. The match engine feels more polished, and they added dynamic rivalries — if you keep running into a team over seasons, it actually builds up into something official. Also, set pieces are more customizable now, which is huge for lower-league saves.

Agree with @pro_gamer_24 — it’s not revolutionary, but the details are better this time. I started a save with Venezia and ended up in this weird rivalry with Pisa just because of back-to-back promotion battles Youth development is also more interactive now. You can micromanage training more effectively without it feeling like a chore.

Nice, sounds like it’s worth jumping in. Do you guys watch real matches or follow live stats while playing? I like simming matches with some real-world football (or even other sports) going on in the background — gives it that full “manager weekend” vibe.

Haha, yeah, that’s basically my Saturday routine. Aside from football, I’ve actually started following kabaddi recently — weirdly addicting sport once you get into it. Alright, you guys convinced me — downloading FM25 tonight and maybe even checking out a kabaddi match too lol. And if my regen striker named “Lorenzo Pizza” scores again, I’ll take it as a sign this season’s ours.
