Hello everyone!
I’m relatively new to both turtle photography and the exotic land turtle scene, and I’d love to hear your experiences and tips on capturing these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. I’ve had a few opportunities to photograph some amazing species recently, but I’m still working on getting those perfect, crisp shots.
Here are a few specific things I’m struggling with:
ragdoll hit
Lighting: How do you manage lighting when shooting land turtles outdoors? Some of my photos come out too dark or overexposed.
Positioning: Any advice on how to approach the turtles without startling them, especially when they’re in motion?
Best Times for Shooting: Is there a specific time of day that works best for capturing them (i.e., early morning light vs. midday)?
Would appreciate any tips or techniques you’ve found useful!
Thanks in advance!
