There will be a turtle meeting in Salzburg, Austria from February 29th
to March 2nd by the ISV. There will be many lectures on different
topics, all related to turtles and some of them will be in english.

Experts from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic will
be there, so you may also have the possibility to acquire some new
turtles there. CHIMAIRA will also have a book store at the meeting.

The exact schedule will be published within the next weeks. Please tell
also your other friends from Italy of this meeting so we can have lots
of discussion and meet new friends!

This years’ annual meeting of the International Turtle Association will be in Salzburg on the first weekend of March. On Friday there will be arrival and an ice-breaking dinner.

An Saturday there will be lectures held by internationally renowned authorities and experienced hobbyists. To close the day there will be an evening presentation. Sunday morning there will be a panel discussion where scientists, hobbyists, veterinarians, public authorities and NGO’s will meet. The title will be “The turtle keeping hobby: Between animal welfare and species conservation“. A quick review on the current status in Austria shall be given, as well as topics like the animal welfare law, breeding success and future perspectives shall be discussed. After that there will be a guided tour through the reptiles departmenr of Salzburg’s “Haus der Natur”. It’s manager, Günter Prem himself will tell us some interesting details and stories about the animals and the house
