Square Enix's HD-2D-themed games have been receiving a lot of praise and attention from gamers. Some titles such as Octopath traveler and Triangle Strategy have really captured the attention of nostalgic gamers in part due to their distinctive art style.

An updated version of Live a Live is set to release exclusively on Nintendo Switch in July, while a remake of Dragon Quest III is currently being developed.
